General Business
Street lighting is inadequate in all of the Fernhill Sunshine Bay area. Carolyn read a letter received from QLDC stating that a new line was required on Fernhill Road and this was being actioned by Delta. Councillor Lou Alfeld advised that Delta is the hold up for this additional lighting not being in place and he is following up on this.

With additional service being provided by Connectabus footpaths in some of the unlit areas are very dangerous. The committee needs to keep pressure on the Council to have this fixed.

Alastair McLay moved a vote of thanks to Danny Carson for the use of Vknow Restaurant for the holding of the monthly meetings seconded Carolyn Livingstone.

Lou advised that funding from QLDC should be available from the 1st of July. The Funds could be used for seating at Bus Stops and playgrounds.

Lou advised that the Transportation Study will be available at the end of May and submissions will close at the end of June. FSBCA should make a submission on this.

Garry advised those present that a meeting will be held on Thursday 10th May 5.30pm on the unavailability of beds for the elderly who needed 24/7 care.

FSBCA could make a submission to Mondrian Property Holdings Ltd on roading issues. Adequate room for buses to turn into and out of the proposed development and if they are digging up the road then maybe include a pedestrian tunnel.

The Pedestrian Crossing by the playground is to be clarified and lighting improved.
